Sweat Enzo premiere “Big Foot Revival”, announce new album

Northampton’s Sweat Enzo is somewhat of an anomaly, albeit a fun one to behold.

Featured on our Localz Only Winter mix and most readily known as the official videographer for Dark World, singer/songwriter Elliot Hartmann-Russell’s sporadic offerings of jangly rock suddenly became way less sporadic this past Fall when he released four EPs in a matter of three months. Although one could debate the merit of an Autotune-heavy mini-series of songs to feature in a Powerpoint, Sweat Enzo seem insistent on not getting pigeonholed, hopping between shoegaze, Pavement-reared slacker rock, and twee folk with relative ease.

“Big Foot Revival” is the first single to come from yet another release, Talking Rock, to be released… well, whenever Elliot feels like it. With boundless amounts of paranormal glee and Built to Spill-esque guitar work, we’re finding it pretty easy to build an argument over whether the trio fell out of the same ’90s time warp Polaris emerged from.
