A few weeks ago, tUnE-yArDs announced their forthcoming album Nikki Nack and now we’ve got the first single. Entitled “Water Fountain” we’ve got the same signature tUnE-yArDs style. Here the brains behind it all, the fantastic Merrill Garbus, is singing about cherry pies and chickens, so what’s not to like?
Nikki Nack is set to drop on May 6 off of 4AD Records. The band is set to open up for Arcade Fire for a smattering of dates as well as summer festivals like Sasquatch, Firefly, and Forecastle. Additional headlining tour dates for the summer have been announced. tUnE-yArDs will be stopping by Boston (finally!) on June 16 at the Royale with Sylvan Esso.
