Last night, as part of Letterman’s “Beatles Week” (for the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ first American appearance) The Flaming Lips teamed up with Sean Lennon to play Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds.  Wayne and Sean each take a verse, which are very loyal to the original, but the chorus gets that Lipsy underwater-strings-and-crash-cymbal-outer-space feel that I love so much.  Are Wayne Coyne’s electric-tentacle-spaceship-cords coming out of the microphone?  Yes, they are.
