South Windsor Connecticut “non-denominational, non-binary hardcore” band Space Camp played a session for us before their 2/17 show at Makeout Point in Allston. The band performed in an aptly chosen (though maybe a bit on the nose) space blanket-lined, space-themed living room in Lower Allston, featuring handmade solar system mobiles, paper planets, and a projector playing a loop of famous space footage against the “stage.” They played three songs (two off their latest full-length “Force Femmed,” and one new) about toxic masculinity, body dysmorphia, white nationalism in America, laser hair removal, the WAMLEG, and self-acceptance, all within the span of 7 minutes.

Space Camp’s next show in Boston will be at the Democracy Center in Cambridge on 3/23. If you’re not in Boston, catch Space Camp at a gig near you soon, you won’t want to miss them:
