Allston Village Main Streets is a v cool local non-profit that works to Make Allston a better place (more info on the org. below). They host a weekly farmers’ market in front of Jackson Mann (across from Twin Donuts) and they are looking for bands to play acoustic sets! The market occurs every Saturday, now through October 2014 so there are plenty of spots to be filled.
Details from AVMS:
- Bands will be paid $25 per hour for up to 4 hours of performance (a potential for $100), additionally performers are invited to sell merchandise and can keep any tips made.
- The Allston Village Farmers Market has approximately 100 passersby and attendees an hour.
- Each performer will receive promotion to the AVMS email list of over 1,000 Allston residents and more than 1,000 followers on social media. AVMS will help you promote upcoming shows and new music releases even on weeks when you are not performing at the market!
