Zodiac Trax: March Forecasts 2016

Taurus

taurus

Taurus (Ruling Planet: Venus; Element: Earth) The textbook Taurus is generous, dependable, and down to earth. Persistence and patience are key virtues to a Taurus, thus, you rarely encounter failure. But change is hard for you. Although you generally have an easy going attitude, you are stubborn and demanding when you are being rushed or pressured. Also known for being self-indulgent and lazy, you tend to all-too-easily ignore others’ emotions. It’s also easy for you to become materialistic and possessive, and often jealousy is a common downfall for the Bull.

Mercury, ruler of communication, enters Pisces, and Mars, the planet of action, is in Sagittarius on March 5th. For you, that means working well with the perspective of friends, and thriving while working in a group. Also, you’ll benefit from the solar eclipse in Pisces on March 8th if you step outside your comfort zone, and go for something a little more risky or unconventional. With Venus also in Pisces on March 12th, you’ll benefit from deepening your connections with friends and building those foundations. If in a relationship, try something new with your partner 😉 Welcome the Sun and Mercury in Aries on the 19th and 21st respectively. Overall, Aries, the sign before yours, will have you feeling kinda tired, kinda emo and just wanting to be alone. You could do some of your best thinking during this time, though. Two days later, we have our second eclipse of the year, with a lunar eclipse in Libra. This is an excellent time to decide on things, especially concerning your body, your health, and regulating your day-to-day. Lastly, Saturn turns retrograde, which will mess with our capacity to set limits and expectations, so this might mean putting more work into the things you need to get done. Good luck with that.

Your March Trax:

Pisces’ presence will have you feelin’ friendly and social at the start of the month. If you’re tryna completely resist that, here’s some solo stuff you should listen to: Angel Olsen’s Burn Your Fire For No Witness, and then, if you like that, July by Boston-based artist Marissa Nadler. And don’t miss her super recent single. On the other hand, if you need something a lil noisier, a lil’ pop punkier, it could be Sorority Noise (due for a nice new EP next month). Go with last summer’s release Joy, Departed. Alternatively, you could use a source of motivation as Aries rolls around. Maybe give bigger ensemble acts like Rubblebucket or locals Bent Knee a chance?
