Zombie Cowboy Halloween

Oy! There are loads of good shows to hit up around Boston on Halloween, including this magnificent beast of a lineup at TT the Bears, featuring Tallahassee, Last Good Tooth, Doctor Gasp, and The Lawsuits. We asked a few of these bands to explain their favorite costumes from Halloweens past, check it out below!

TALLAHASSEE

From Left to Right:

Scott Thompson as The Hamburgler.
“For years I thought that I was limited in my choice of halloween costumes due to my beard and glasses. Then I had an epiphany that it was actually refreshingly dead-pan just not to care. As a strict vegetarian of 15 years, the Hamburglar proved to be a natural choice.”

Brian Barthelmes as The Strongman
“The strong man costume originated when I first put on a women’s bathing suit. It was LA 2010. Hurt my nuts like hell but looked so perfectly absurd. Matching bald cap and mustache wax and I was ready to go.”

Matt Raskopf as Scott Stapp
“While in the tour van I learned I was in a band with the biggest closet Creed fans. What better way to gain their respect and adoration than to pop on a Scott Stapp wig and sing with my shittiest 90’s voice all night. I made a ton of new friends that night… So many friends…

Shawn Carney as a Hasidic Jew.
“I don’t know how to write mine without being a racist.”

DOCTOR GASP

Doctor Gasp as Doctor Gasp with a Tooth of Candycorn!
“I always go as Doctor Gasp for the October tour! This one is taken by Mike Spencer an hour before I went to the dentist!

THE LAWSUITS

Lawsuits

Brendan Cunningham, Vanessa Winters, and Josh Friedman – Various Costumes
“When I was sixteen I went trick or treating for the last time. I wore ray-bans and told people I was an undercover cop. Also, that same year I ate acid and smoked a blunt in the back of an ambulance.  My buddy was an EMT and drove an ambulance at the time, when he rode up on us with the lights flashing and scared the shit out of us. He hopped out laughing and then let us ride in the back where we proceeded to smoke said blunt. Great success.” – Brendan Cunningham.
