It’s that time of year again in Boston! The Boston Music Awards are gearing up for the 617Sessions to showcase the most iconic local musicians and offer them a chance to perform at the 2020 Boston Music Awards. Ten local artists will be chosen by Redefined to spend an entire day at The Bridge Sound & Stage with a sound engineer to produce any song of their choosing for free. The songs will later be distributed to all major streaming platforms. Once the songs are released, the public will be able to vote online for their favorite 617Sessions song, and the winning artist will be invited to perform at the 2020 awards show. Past 617Sessions artists include some of Boston’s favorites: Oompa, House of Harm, Sidney Gish, Haasan Barclay, Valleyheart, Vintage Lee, and many more.
The 2019 617Sessions playlist had some real bangers, but Brandie Blaze’s Model was one of the most legendary song produced for the BMA’s last year. Not only does it come in strong with a catchy hook and an unforgettable beat, but the raw power behind the lyrics truly makes this Boston-bred song one of a kind. The confidence Brandie exudes through the raunchy lyrics will resonate with anyone trying to reclaim their sexuality and rewrite it for newer, bolder, self. This versatile song will boost your confidence, put some pep in your step, and hopefully get you excited for the new music that will be coming out soon.
The Bridge Sound & Stage, of course, will be conducting these studio sessions in accordance with Massachusetts COVID-19 safety guidelines as well as their own strict set of safety procedures.
