All these goddam festival announcements, and I’ve got nothing to show: flight, tickets, hotel, food, drugs, alcohol, that shit adds up! Imagine my surprise when I came across a tiny arts festival, running in its 4th year, Waking Windows. Waking Windows takes place in Winooski, Vermont, just south of Burlington. Local, regional and national artists and musicians, as well as food and drink connoisseurs, gather for four days to showcase their art, music and food! This year’s festival takes place from May 1st-4th. And the best part? A ticket for the entire weekend costs… $20!?!?!?$#%$^$%^ And the second best part? The lineup includes: Krill, Alex Bleeker and the Freaks, Paper Castles, Fat History Month, Nat Baldwin, Fat Creeps, Speedy Ortiz and more! Tickets to individual shows are just $5- so you could see Krill and Alex Bleeker and the Freaks and Speedy for less than one ticket at the Sinclair. WTF are you waiting for!
