CreaturoS is back with a new album off Primordial Sounds, thank God rock and roll. Not since their 2012 SWAMP THINGG have our ear drums been rocked by a full length from what is, in our opinion, one of Boston’s most underrated punk bands.
Like their last album, Popsicle hears the band in full swinging attitude, employing a bit of psych aesthetic and classic rock injections. But still their sound is modern, an album awash with heavy hitters and a few more slowed down tunes. We’d imagine the albums finale track, a mod, slightly experimental “Popsicle” to be included in some Warholian film. Yeah, we’d dig that.
Listen to the album’s opener, “The Master’s Dope” below:
Tonight, tonight! Catch CreaturoS celebrating this snazzy release at Great Scott, a show curated by your pals at Allston Pudding. The band plays with Juan Wauters, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard and headliners White Fence. See ya there!
