Keep Safe Boston, an upstart community organization, released their first digital compilation album to benefit Planned Parenthood today. This 50 song pay-what-you-can compilation features artists from all over New England. Event producer Anngelle Wood (host of Boston Emissions on WZLX) founded Keep Safe Boston with the idea of fostering a safer, more compassionate community and is using music as a way to voice this.

The impetus behind this organization is to honor the memory of the women lost in the Brookline clinic shootings in 1994 – the 20th anniversary of which is this December. From their website, Keep Safe Boston is “an effort to bring people together much the same way the Boston music community responded 20 years ago” to this tragedy.
There will be a Keep Safe Boston Benefit Concert for Planned Parenthood on Wednesday, December 10th at Brighton Music Hall. Here’s who’s playing:
Jass Bianchi
Parlour Bells
The Color and Sound
Corin Ashley
Drab
The Rationales
Special guests, CLUB GRCB (Girls Rock Camp Boston after school program)
Comedian Jody Sloane will act as the emcee.

Tickets for the event can be purchased online here and the compilation album is available for download here and you can stream it below.
