Even though Passion Pit is now based out of Brooklyn (who isn’t?), we’re still going to pretend like they’re one the biggest Boston bands to emerge from the past decade and share with you the first single off their forthcoming record Kindred. Picking up where they left off with 2012’s Gossamer, a near perfect record full of soundtrack friendly, indie-electronica pop-rock anthems, “Lifted up, (1985)” is  synth-heavy retrospective on the year 1985, in which lead singer and front-man Michael Angelakos seems to be fond of even if he wasn’t born until 87′? Nonetheless, the new record will be available for pre-order tomorrow 2/17 via Colombia Records and you can check the kind of creepy video for “Lifted Up 1985,” featuring a rarely blinking bored boy staring at you while his parents have a sunset clad dinner party below.
