It’s time to see Greta Morgan (The Hush Sound, Gold Motel) in yet another new phase, this time with her new project, Springtime Carnivore. Under this new name, we get a fuzzy sun-kissed Morgan. Here she takes full control, having recorded most of the vocals an instrumentals on her own, Springtime Carnivore is Greta Morgan.
Morgan has seldom been so fluid and open. While her past projects were rooted in tight, neatly assembled indie pop – she’s letting go with Springtime Carnivore. She’s traded bouncy pop rhythms for hazy distortion and dropped the pace three notches. She’s a much different character here, one that’s still warm and bright, but more lush than ever before. For fans of Porches and Alvvays, this is the perfect moment to come into Morgan’s world. Better yet, on this tour, Springtime Carnivore is supporting The Dodos who we caught up with earlier this week – so get on out there. Show details below.
