It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Speedy Ortiz, leaving us with their EP Real Hair last year, which garnered all-around positive reviews and tided us over. Until now. Their upcoming release, Foil Deer,  will be the Boston group’s second full-length. Personable in addition to being local, the members of Speedy Ortiz have become our friends in the Boston area and they let that geniality shine through as it meshes with their fuzzy DIY-sound. Sadie Dupuis is sharp and relentless in her vocal delivery, penning heartfelt songs that stem from her study of poetry.
