Based out of Philly, like many great punk bands, Puppy Teeth Records seeks to support the community they’re in. In honor of International Women’s Day on March 8th, Puppy Teeth released GOOD FRIENDS VOL. 1: A Compilation For Planned Parenthood.
Puppy Teeth may be fresh on the scene as a record label, but this compilation has some carefully selected tunes that are sure to please your palate. Synthpop, shoegaze, gritty punk, and everything in between has a voice on GOOD FRIENDS VOL. 1.
With rad cover art by Clark Jackson, who has inked it up for Boston bands in the past, the compilation features some of our favorites from Boston and beyond: Pile, Upset, Free Cake For Every Creature, and so many more to get to know. The songs range from a minute to four minutes long, and take on genres from every background. The compilation was released by Puppy Teeth on limited edition cassette, limited to a quantity of 75, so grab one fast, here.
In the spirit of the recently passed International Women’s Day, all proceeds from the compilation will be donated to Planned Parenthood. Purchase of a cassette also gets you a cool handmade zine.
