Theo Hartlett, the man behind Flat Swamp, is a hard workin’, hard rockin’ dude. As a part-timer in the fast-growing Connecticut scene, he has been a member of Ovlov and other acts, and now as a Boston transplant, he’s putting out tunes with his band Flat Swamp. Their Nicolas Cage Match EP was a solid debut, and now their getting set to release their follow-up, El Jefe EP. You can check out a new track, “Separate Ways,” right here right now though, before anyone else. The tune maintains the band’s clean shaven take on buzz rock, and lets hooks and choruses marinate a bit longer and a bit harder. I’m more than pretty psyched for this whole EP to drop, and that’s why we’re pumped that Flat Swamp are playing a show we’re hosting on June 2nd at O’Brien’s with High Pop and The Guru. They’re also playing this Sunday at Benifest as part of a stacked bill to benefit One Fund Boston, but in the meantime, give this new tune a few listens and clear your schedule for June 2nd.
