Arizona folk act Andrew Jackson Jihad have been depressing audiences across the country since 2005 with their self-proclaimed “sad sack stories”, and now they’re ready to unleash a brand new batch of feel-bad jams.
The band will release Christmas Island, their fifth full length, next week on SideOneDummy, and they’ve put it up for streaming in the video below. The first track is the official video for their first single “Temple Gradin”, and the rest of the album follows.
Give it a spin and be thankful that you’ve got it better than some of the characters lead singer Sean Bonnette describes throughout the album, like the guy who “lost his shit” in a museum watching a Linda Ronstadt video.
Andrew Jackson Jihad play the Sinclair on June 16th with Cheap Girls and Dogbreth.
