Tim Kingsbury, the bass player of Arcade Fire, is going solo. For how long and to what extent is currently unknown, but he has formed a group called Sam Patch, that includes Arcade Fire’s drummer Jeremy Gara and female vocalist Basia Bulat. They will play in Montreal on August 27 as part of the Passovah Summer Fest, along side Les Muscadettes and James Irwin. To any of you fans in the area at the time, tickets are only $10.

What will it sound like? Not sure, but definitely it won’t sound like fornicating chickens because that is too artsy for even the most experimental Montreal crowd.

Fun fact: Sam Patch was an American daredevil from the early 1800s, who gained fame after jumping off a 110 foot ladder into the Niagara River at the base of Niagara Falls in 1829.
