Converse invited us to check out their Rubber Tracks pop-up studio at SXSW 2015. While at the studio, we spoke with members of the Rubber Tracks team, and interviewed some of our favorite bands who have been involved with Rubber Tracks. The rest of the articles and our SXSW 2015 coverage can be found here.
We had a truly amazing time at SXSW this year (you can check up on our coverage here and via our Instagram). In addition to the standard shenanigans any group of 20-something music bloggers would get into, we got a chance to do a deep dive at the Converse Rubber Tracks pop-up studio to learn more about the whole Rubber Tracks initiative, their recently launched Rubber Tracks Sample Library, and plans for their new global HQ in your very own, Boston, MA.
We spoke with some awesome bands (Hinds, IAN, Boytoy, Gymshorts, and Mother Merey & The Black Dirt), Jed Lewis (the Director of Music Marketing at Converse) and Aaron Bastinelli (the Staff Engineer at Converse Rubber Tracks). Without further adieu, check out our mini-doc on Converse’s music efforts:
