Fucked Up Share New Song + Tour

dasha

Canada doesn’t scream “hardcore”, but the members that make up Fucked Up prove otherwise. The punk group has been shredding on the scene for over a decade, producing a staggeringly impressive collection of releases, totaling over 50 releases when you add collaborations, singles, mixtapes, and other various works the band has done.

One of Fucked Up’s more prolific projects includes their Zodiac series- a series of 12″ singles they release according to whichever animal represents that particular year on the Zodiac calendar. So far, they’ve released 6 of these, almost consistently each year. 2015 happens to be the year of the hare, and to follow suit, Fucked Up have shared another installation in the musical opus, appropriately titled “Year Of The Hare” and clocking it around 21 minutes long. What’s more exciting is that it comes with a B-side, “California Cold”, which you can stream over at Stereogum, here.

“Year Of The Hare” will be released via Deathwish on June 16th, and in celebration of the record, Fucked Up will be embarking on a tour exclusively featuring their Zodiac releases, with additional members from their collaborative partners and friends from DOOMSQUAD. This ups their already large lineup to 9, an appropriately massive band for these hefty songs, most of which have never been performed before. Check out tour dates below.
