Grimes released “Go” as a single last year, but aside from that, we haven’t heard much of her dreamy, pulsing, electronic pop lately. Luckily, she’s just shared an old but new track, “REALiTi”, and a video to boot. Self-directed and made in collaboration with her brother, the Canadian electronica queen filmed the video while touring throughout Asia in 2013.

“REALiTi” is sleepy and airy, spread thinly over thick, juicy synth tracks. Consisting mostly of landscape shots of the cities she visited as well as shots of her gracefully dancing in them, the video is in a way a soothing sort of documentary of her tour. The song was meant to appear on the follow-up to Visions, but plans for that were scrapped, and along with them, the song. But she changed her mind and decided to compile the song and video as a gesture of thanks to her fans in Asia who supported her on her tour. We’ll let you decide that for yourselves. She states the song is a demo, humbly claiming it to be “a bit of a mess.” We’ll let you decide that for yourselves.
