Leave it to Skinny Bones to serve our morning coffee upside-down. We’re used to them taking the familiar and flipping it on it’s head; this week, recipe breakfast became their latest prey. Today the local folktronic duo released a brand new music video for “Sleep In.”
This second single off of Noise Floor is an auricular puzzle. You’re gently drawn in with simple guitar before the scrambling begins. The video, buy with returning credits to editor extraordinaire Peter Rosati, viagra order takes a typical breakfast, breaks it up, and tapes it back together with little resemblance of the former. Meshed with a nightmarish effects, the duo manages to eliminate nearly all of breakfast’s innocence. Imagine jelly on toast growing a spine and undulating by it’s own accord and a sunny-side-up egg devoid of color.
Frontman Jacob Rosati remarks on an infatuation with setting up projects like games to continuously challenge himself and refrain from stagnancy. The parameters for this one? Begin with 1 process that is time-based. “I’m an early breakfast kid,” says Rosati. End with a product that presents the viewer with a brand new way of digesting it. Not a far departure from Skinny Bones’ music in a nutshell: using organic sounds in inorganic ways. Take a look at the video for “Sleep In” below and keep in mind that the duo watched that square of butter melt naturally. It took about 45 minutes.
