The only thing better than seeing a great concert in Boston is seeing a great concert in Boston for free. And if Boston Calling is a little out of your price range, have no fear- the free festival MayFair is returning to Harvard Square for its 32nd year.
Not only will you get to catch some rays in one of the most architecturally stunning parts of Cambridge, but you can catch the waves- sound waves, that is- of some of the most aurally stunning local groups. The May 3rd free street festival is set to feature the likes of some of our favorite hometown heroes: The Sheila Divine, Freezepop, Bent Shapes, M’Bolo, The Luxury, Funeral Advantage, Air Traffic Controller, Hallelujah The Hills, Parks, The Novel Ideas, Vundabar, and Grey Season. Did we mention it’s free?
The lineup comes straight from the masterminds behind Bowery Boston. Bowery has gone to great lengths to ensure they’re securing the best they can find around Boston in working with beloved venue The Sinclair to book acts.
So drop by Harvard Square on May 3rd for the free festival, which runs from noon-6 PM, and will be packed with a just as juicy lineup of vendors and food. All ages welcome and should come prepared to have their socks rocked off.
