Last Friday, Remo Drive played The Sinclair with openers Field Medic and Prince Daddy & The Hyena in a wild and fun-filled night.
Prince Daddy & The Hyena entered to The Scorpion’s classic mega-hit “Rock You Like a Hurricane,” perfectly setting the tone for the rest of the night. And from the moment they started playing, everyone on the ground level of the venue was swept up into mosh pit, leaving anyone at the front of the stage to fend off crowd surfers, stage divers, and other rowdy fans singing along to the set from beginning to end.
Despite their more laid back sound, the transition into Field Medic’s solo set received as much love from the audience as the night’s two rowdier acts. And if not already apparent, the audience’s passion for the band became even more clear by the end of the set, as many fans sang along to the final chorus of an incredibly new song, written just hours before on the train ride to Boston.
The crowd went wild as Remo Drive finally stepped on stage to close out the night. Throughout their set, the band played songs from their existing releases, as well as some unreleased tracks. By the end of the night, the front edge of the stage became a makeshift “lost and found,” as crowd surfers’ keys, hats, shoes, and even a pair of pants were left behind as they dove into the audience again and again.
