Brockton rapper Lord Felix could have stopped at In Bloom, Forever, the record he released toward the beginning of 2019. But we’re honestly glad he didn’t; It’s time to celebrate a birthday party for Infrared (and Felix himself). The new release, premiering here today follows 2019 EPs Supernova and Ultraviolet.

Infrared is yet another signpost of what makes Lord Felix one of the year’s most compelling artists: the frenetic beats and featured vocals from Connis on “Smile More,” the endlessly catchy hook on “Hunnid Dollar Socks,” and the beats on “It’s My Birthday.”

The prolific and masked rapper has got another collection of songs to add to an already impressive resume.
