Here we are on a Wednesday afternoon in Boston. Wind and rain have soaked us through and threatened to launch us into oncoming traffic via improvised, umbrella-shaped ground parachute devices. If you’re anything like me, and I assume you are because I have no imagination, the only thing that could possibly lift your mid-holiday season spirits is seeing improvisational soul/rock being played by at least 15 people at one time on a mid-sized stage… soon. Like… tomorrow, soon.
To that you might say, “It’s probably not healthy to rely on the remote chance of a genre-specific event as a remedy to what sounds like seasonal affective disorder.”
Well, internet. Do I have news for you. [Also: What are you, a doctor?]
Tomorrow night (Thursday, Dec 11th) the 15 piece-strong rock/blues/funk extravaganza that is Jesus On The Mainline will be playing Great Scott along with Animal Years, and Sinnet. Problem solved. Christmas is still on, kids.
Doors are at 8pm and you can grab your tickets right HERE.
You can prepare yourselves by streaming their debut, self-titled EP below:
While you’re at it, why not take a moment to take a listen to Sun Will Rise, the debut LP from Brooklyn-based indie rockers Animal Years:
