Bent Knee is locally known for many things – their eclectic and avant garde sound, the flawless and dramatic builds in their songs, their brilliantly technical performances sprouting from a background at Berklee College of Music, and, recently, for the sheer volume of content they’ve released.
Gearing up for their show at Great Scott this Wednesday, Bent Knee is releasing yet another video from their “Live at Davis Square Theatre” series. “Toothsmile” is the last track off their most recent album, Shiny Eyed Babies, that was released in November. The song contains all of the elements that make the band so impressive, which is only exaggerated in this live take with belting vocals, haunting transitions and striking violin. If that doesn’t hook you, there’s also a shirtless member wearing a gas mask.
If you like what you see, don’t miss our show with Bent Knee, The Big Sway and Das Muerte at Great Scott on Wednesday.
