Following up on 2013’s insanely fun/appropriately titled Antics, our city representatives of surfy jangle pop by way of slacker rock have put their second LP, Gawk, up for streaming ahead of its July 24th release date.

Picking up right where Antics merrily left off (on a song called “Sad Clown”, no less), Vundabar have rolled out a leaner, but far-from-mean follow-up in Gawk. Their growth comes parallel with their ever-rising name in Boston, most notably opening for Pile last week at The Middle East and matching them pit for pit in terms of crowd enthusiasm (including several reports of twerking throughout both bands’ sets)

Vundabar will be touring for the rest of the summer, but will be appearing in the city next at the Boston Fuzztival on August 8th. In the meantime, check out lead single “Chop” below and head over to Consequence of Sound for the full album stream.
