Last week you got the first taste of Noise Floor, Skinny Bones‘ sophomore release. Today we are stoked to premiere the music video for the first single “Wanderlust.” The extended intro gives a sense of how the concept album is constructed with each song flowing together rather than tracked as separate entities.
Film credits for “Wanderlust” go to director Peter Ferris Rosati (yes, that’s some brotherly love right there, he was also behind the music video for “Undress” last year) and cinematographer Tyler Weinberger. Shot on half digital and half 16mm film, clips included are predominantly from around Los Angeles with tastes of trips Rosati has taken around the country.
The result is a fragmented journey between the past and the present. The imagery that Rosati has crafted with blunt cuts and double-exposure effects is something I hope to see in a live set from the group in the future.
