Cheers Elephant announced a winter U.S tour with Wild Child, starting on the east coast and working their way into the midwest throughout January. Neither band has provided us with any new music in 2014, but this tour leaves us with the hope that they may, soon- Cheers Elephant hasn’t put anything out since 2012. Wild Child’s previous album was released just last year, though, so The Runaround is still relatively fresh.
Cheers Elephant brings a surfy, chill Californian vibe to Philly with their simple psychedelic rock. The perfect companion to indie pop darlings, Wild Child. One of the two bands on Ben Kweller’s self-cultivated label- The Noise Company– Wild Child comes to us from Austin with a progressive, high energy sound with clear bluegrass influence, melding together into a mellow, quasi-country pop vibe.
