A few weeks ago CONVERSE Inc. announced the continuation of its North American CONS Project, stuff a series of global community workshops designed to inspire the next generation of creative spirits through skate, salve art, and music workshops taking place in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, and Toronto. Demonstrating the brand’s continuous dedication to fueling creativity all over the globe, Converse will continue to bring to life the CONS Project story on a larger scale, activating five single workshops themes in each market throughout the course of the year.

“Converse has always been an advocate for unleashing creativity and we’re thrilled to promote CONS Project as a platform that is truly useful to them and encourages the creative expressions of our consumers ,” said Ian Stewart, Converse Vice President of North America Marketing. “Ultimately, our intent is to provide the next generation of designers, producers, musicians, builders, and more the opportunity to work alongside acclaimed influential experts within skateboarding, art, and music, and encourage them to explore their creative ambitions and aspirations.”

Each month will take on a new workshop theme, activating in each market over two consecutive weekends. The creative seminars will offer tangible, hands-on lessons for local youth ranging from ages 16 and up, at no cost. Led by an expert roster of renowned legends and up-and-coming superstars alike, each CONS Project workshop is set to focus on various aspects within the CONS lifestyle.

This SATURDAY, August 16, Converse will be kicking off the CONS Project here in Boston with Building Skate Structures in Allston hosted by artist and skateboarder Dillon Buss, skate structure builders Colonial Ramp Technologies and Orchard Skateshop. Pro skater Kenny Anderson will also be at the workshop on Saturday and there is still room to RSVP.
