PREMIERE: Waywords & Meansigns “Finnegans Wake”

Boston is often dubbed a “literary city”, owing to its rich history. This moniker finds home in the city’s residents: bursting with endless creativity. A collective of artists, calling themselves Waywords & Meansigns, have decided to set James Joyce’s novel “Finnegan’s Wake” to music. A goliath project (or “proj”, as director Derek Pyle calls it), it’s set to be released on the author’s birthday, February 2nd.

Lab Lockdown: Starlab Studios Holds Fundraiser

Two years ago, Starlab Studios, an audio and video production studio based in Union Square, Somerville, had to relocate as part of the now foundering Green Line Extension Program. Now, it’s in the midst of a legal fight to stay in Union Square, after the company was locked out of its space.
