Cambridge-based LIBYANS have a new album, Expired Language, set to release early in the fall on North Carolina’s Sorry State Records. In the meantime, they have released this really cool video for a new song called “Rite of Passage,” which will appear on the upcoming record.

Local director Sarah Greenwald and her team of merry filmmakers put together this little diddy, featuring local musicians Jesse Adams-Lukowsky and Sam Dudley, who operate under the moniker Folk From the Kitchen. Set against the backdrop of Greenwald’s Allston living room, their cover of the classic folk tune “Red Apple Juice” shines with stripped down simplicity.
