Time to shake the pillars of heaven, save the President from Manhattan Island, and run from a masked psychopath all over again. The venerable John Carpenter is releasing an album called Lost Themes on February 3rd, made up entirely of brand new songs that, as you might tell from the name, feel like they’re ripped out all his famous works. And they also feel surprisingly at home in the current music landscape, lining up right alongside synth-heavy, electronic artists like Com Truise.

You can listen to it in its entirity over at NPR. And welcome to the human race.
