Pavement has always shown to care more about what feels right and less about the business that comes with it all. Thankfully, they have found good reason to release, The Secret History, Vol. 1, 30 songs of unreleased material, including B-sides, bootlegs, etc, and you can stream it on NPR today. Hearing the band play rarities for the BBC radio show, ‘Keeping It Peel’ and a 7” version of “Summer Babe”, their beautifully zany perspective has never felt more tangible.
August 11th marks the official release date of The Secret History, Vol. 1 and you can purchase it over at Matador Records.
