Allston Pudding is sending Mario Jarjour to photograph this weekend’s sold-out co-headlined night at the Paradise featuring La Dispute and Title Fight. Jarjour is a drummer, site healing guitarist, and vocalist for a local ensemble, Miyagi & The Kids, a budding photographer, and his name can be found in the EP liner notes as a studio engineer for one of his best friend’s independent projects. Oh, did I mention: he’s a 15-year-old freshman at Revere High School. Do you remember being a minor and being firmly blocked from seeing your favorite bands? That’s his constant struggle for the next four years until turns the magical 18 (and even then, still won’t be able to get into everything!).

“Most groups that I want to see it’s either 18+ or 21+….and not just things I see in the media. It’s people that I know, I can’t even go see my friends play,” Jarjour said. “A couple weeks ago, [Miyagi & The Kids] played a show at the Sinclair that I wouldn’t have even been allowed in the room if I wasn’t playing.”

Needless to say, Jarjour was psyched to find those two glorious words in the fine print of Title Fight’s show listing at The Paradise: all ages. “[I discovered Title Fight last year] at Newbury Comics with a friend. We were just looking around, you know, looking for interesting names and I was taking pictures of them. I found Title Fight and started listening to them and then not long after that they started blowing up in my community. It was weird,” Jarjour said.

Day and night, Jarjour can be found bumping tunes ranging from Glocca Morra to Dirty Projectors to The Strokes alike these days, yet the number of concerts he’s been to can be counted on one hand. Jarjour said, “A lot of my friends and I like punk groups and we see our favorite groups touring through but it’s just easier to keep it restricted so most people do.”

Looking to this weekend, Jarjour can’t wait to see the Kingston, PA punk rockers fresh off of their latest album Hyperview. “This is really big for me. I want to get known, I want to get gigs photographing and I don’t want to wait until I’m 18 or 21 to photograph the awesome groups that I love. Now that I have the opportunity to show what I can do and let people see my potential I think this could really kick-start something,” Jarjour said.

Stay tuned to AP for Jarjour’s recap and photos next week!
