The long wait is now over. We’ve heard four songs from the album already, but now Pile are now streaming their new album You’re Better Than This over at The Fader. Pile have lost none of their visceral explosiveness; the snarls and drawls are out in full force. The new songs are just as creatively wonky, and as a whole, the album evokes a wonderfully scummy catharsis. It leads me to wonder if Krill will write their next EP about Darrell Fish. The band has just embarked on a tour, and sadly won’t be back in Boston until April.
