When every member of your band is exceedingly fantastic at what they do, it seems too good to be true. Today, that turns out to be true. Super loud rock act Kal Marks took to Facebook to announce that their longtime drummer, Nick Egersheim, will be leaving the band come February. “We unfortunately will no longer be playing with our drummer Nick,” they wrote on Facebook. “We really appreciate all that he’s done for us and his terrific playing.” Egersheim also drums for Big Mess, whose weighty doom rock is nothing to mess around with, and will continue to do so in the future.
Fear not (or not too much, anyway). Kal Marks aren’t ending. They just need some help — and that’s where *you* come in. “We would like to continue on playing. We understand its very big shoes to fill. So if you would be interested in the spot or have any suggestions, you can message us here or at Kalmarksmusic@yahoo.com.” Go ahead and shoot them a message to keep the kickdrum heartbeat of Boston’s loudest rock band going.
Kal Marks have a few shows left with Nick before the separation begins. See the full list of dates below. If you can’t make it out, pick up a copy of their newest EP Just a Lonely Fart (featuring the excellent “It Was a Very Hard Year“) here and listen to Nick’s on point drumming.
