Canada’s Viet Cong are releasing their first formal record via Jagjagwar on January 20th and have shared the second single “Silhouettes” on Fader. Picking up where their debut cassette left off, the remaining members of the Calgary band Women have made waves as one of the next great post punk bands from Canada. Following the dark and poignant first track and accompanying video for “Continental Shelf,” the new track packs a bigger and more progressive punch. Viet Cong will be touring behind the record for much of the winter making stops just about everywhere but Boston. Sad face for now.
