Leor Miller is one of those rare artists that falls into the (Sandy) Alex G crop of musicians. Though only a junior at Bard College, the singer-songwriter has managed to release over 30 different titles, many of which came during her freshman year. Sure, these days anyone can fake the career path of a prolific Bandcamp musician hoping to replicate another Frankie Cosmos. However, that is not the case with Leor. Each of her bedroom-pop gems are so patiently crafted, it’s hard not to find something special about each one.
For this session we drove down to Bard to hear a single off her latest Split with Francie Cool, “GIRL”, as well as an unreleased track. After we finished filming, I dropped off Leor just in time for her next class.
