Cancer (Ruling Planet: Moon; Element: Water) Everyone says you’re overly emotional, Cancer. And it’s true. But your emotions also fuel every aspect of your otherwise creative, intuitive, spontaneous, loving and protective personality. And you are generally a faithful friend, Moonchild. You motivate and persuade others easily. But the Crab is moody and unbalanced. You fluctuate between clingy and icy, depending on your mood and how pessimistic you’re feeling that day.

No doubt you’re ruled by your emotions, Moon Child, and when Jupiter tours Libra, the tendency to use heart before head will take full reign. But if you have a solid support system, this planetary position can guide you through some tough feelings you might not have been able to work out before now. Later in the month, the Sun and a new moon are also touched by magnetic Libra, so you may feel more inclined to chill out in your comfort zone — a good time to work on home improvements. Most of the other planetary positions this month will fuel your need for balance and fairness, especially when it comes to your relationships. Make time for the ones you love, but don’t be surprised if you find it harder than usual to communicate with them while Mercury is in retrograde til the 22nd. Lastly, the solar and lunar eclipses on the 1st and 16th, respectively, will obviously influence the Moon Child more than most. Use the energy from the solar eclipse to put your feelings into action, and the lunar eclipse to let go of any self-limiting thoughts — you don’t need ‘em.

Your September Trax: You need to be prepping and taking care of yourself and your surroundings right now, before you launch feelings and ideas into action. The 2008 self titled album by Little Joy is good simple music to precede a big moment. Similarly echoey and a little more lo-fi and impassioned, Northampton artist Mal Devisa has a 2014 album, 4U, that will definitely satisfy.
